Mouzin Brothers Farms, located in southern Indiana, has a rich history dating back to the early 1900s. The farm was founded by Julius Mouzin Sr. in 1935. He began by growing crops on a small plot of land, but over time, their operation grew to become one of the largest and most successful farms in the region.
In the early days, the Mouzin family relied on horse-drawn plows and other primitive farming equipment to tend to their fields. They worked hard to clear the land and build up their farm, often working long hours in difficult conditions. Despite the challenges, they persevered, and their dedication to their land paid off.
His sons, Julius, Jr. and Paul, helped expand the farming operation over the years. As the farm grew, the Mouzin family began to specialize in growing homegrown watermelons, sweet corn, cantaloupe, pumpkins, squash, and honey, which helped them to diversify their income and ensure the sustainability of their farm for generations to come.
As time passed, the farm has continued to evolve and modernize, incorporating new technologies and farming practices to stay ahead of the curve. Today, Mouzin Brothers Farms is a thriving business that employs dozens of workers and supplies high-quality crops and honey to customers throughout the region and beyond.
Despite its success, the farm remains a family-owned and operated business, and the Mouzin family takes great pride in their legacy and their contribution to the agricultural history of Indiana. Today with farms in Indiana and Illinois, third generation farmers Ed and Dennis, along with their father, Paul, and fourth generation farmers Brady and Blake, continue a strong family tradition of knowledge and experience combined with honesty & integrity.
They continue to work hard to maintain the high standards of excellence that have been the hallmark of their farm for nearly a century, and they look forward to continuing to serve their customers with delicious and fresh produce for many years to come.
